I come to you today to call attention to an awesome project that needs your help!

My very best snakefriend , creator of the popular Tokyopop manga series Bizenghast, has started putting the first feet forward on her followup project: an amazing new series known as The Elephant Book. Sadly, Tokyopop closed its doors two years ago and the project was never able to see the light of day.  However, she has been working insanely hard to get the ball rolling on this series, and now it all comes down to a matter of funding and fan support.

So was born a Kickstarter page!

Please take a look and check out the series!  For every amount you donate, you will receive a ton of goodies in return and get constant updates about the book's progression.  Even if you aren't able to donate at the time, please consider reblogging or posting the link to your Facebook or Twitter feed!  Every little bit helps, and you will be lending a hand to an amazing project by one of the most dedicated and talented folks I know.


And for the record (also since this is my journal and I'LL SAY WHAT I WANT), I've watched Marty work her butt off in the various planning stages of this series for the past few years, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that she's put her whole heart into this project.  It's cleverly written, gorgeously designed, and chock-full of surprises that you are nowhere near prepared for.  You are all in for a real treat. <3
