So, you haven't played Journey yet? Stop what you are doing and fix that right now.

My BFF :iconblackkrogoth: and I made these costumes in less than a week to flap around in at PAX East, and had a blast! We can't wait to expand our glyphs and take proper photos in some sand dunes. :3

White cloak: Myself
Red cloak: :iconblackkrogoth:

Both costumes were made by us. Photography by :icondrteng:, background edited slightly by myself.

NOTE: Costumes and photos are not up for critique at this time. Keep DA cool and respect the request of all artists involved in this submission!

This led me to see Journey. Can't play it; no PS3. Still, very profound game, so thumbs up for this representation.

I've been looking at your friend's incredibly helpful tutorial, and I'm looking forward to trying a pair of these for my boyfriend and me at Dragon*Con this year!

My question is -- how did you do the dark triangles on your white cloak? I know your friend sewed hers on, but yours appear not to have seams. Did you paint them on? They're very even!

Awesome! Tina did an amazing job on that tutorial, I'm glad it's been helping you!

Good eye, I didn't sew my triangles on, I used heat n' bond! It's an iron-on adhesive for fabrics sold in sheets, you iron one side of the adhesive to the wrong side of your triangle fabric, then cut out the triangles, making sure each one is perfectly even. Then you place them on your cloak fabric and iron it all on! You can also stitch around each triangle like Tina did with her glyphs, but I chose to stitch around the edges of my gold borders instead to make them look more defined against the grey triangles. I did the same thing with my scarf, which you can't see in these photos, but the gold fabric is all stitched on while the silver is heat n' bonded. :)

I'll be at Dragon*Con this year, so I hope I run into you guys! Journey costumes are so much fun to wear, you guys are going to have a blast! :3

They are SO MUCH FUN to wear! It's like running around in a bedsheet ghost costume on Halloween. Thank you so much!
