If you follow me on Tumblr ([link]), you already know of all my undying love for Asami Sato and how she basically rescued my heart from the disaster that was LoK. I don't think I've ever connected as much with a fictional character as I do with Asami, and I admire her unconditionally for the insane amount of personal strength she exhibits despite enduring some really horrible things (and horrible people). Aaaand I'll stop myself there before I unleash ALL MY FEELINGS about Legend of Korra and infuriate everybody. :V

SO ANYWAY. This is the gown Asami wears in episode 4, which I decided to make first before I tackle the red and black suit, at least while the weather on the east coast remains equivalent to the surface of the sun. I made this to wear to SDCC and Otakon, but wanted to get photos of it first with mah bff [link] in her Amon since she isn't going to either convention this year, so we teamed up with our buddy Nicole Ciaramella ([link]) and took some photos on the beach in Sandy Hook! In 100 degree weather! Surrounded by tourists! COSPLAY.

Krys I think you may be my spirit animal.... Asami is the strongest character and she just got SHAFTED in the writing. Right along with Bolin. I'm sure you and I could spend hours ranting about character development but I think it would all be in agreement. Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL cosplay. I'm so torn on which costume of hers to make and seeing this one done so well makes me all *_*

YES YES AND YES. I really feel weird hanging out with my friends who are HARDKORRA FANS and I'm like "buhhh i love you guys but i kind of hate everything that show stands for now"

At least the hours I spent investing myself in LoK still gave me Asami, who is the only Avatar-verse character I have ever really connected with on every possible level. Yay! Or something!

You're welcome :3 And since I posted that last comment I've seen her Book 2 outfit and decided to go with the pilot gear and make my boyfriend be General Sexy II instead of Mako ;D Also if you wouldn't mind me asking, which wig did you use? I have one in mind from Arda but I'm not sure if it'll work well with her part and yours looks nice and full and natural.

Durrhurr well don't worry, I still need to get my ass in gear and make her jumpsuity thing. The dress was just an excuse to get rid of all the red fabric I had lying around and not have to make stupid sleeves and pants because they are stupid.
