[ZELDA] A Little Touch of Heavenly Light by Windaria [ZELDA] A Little Touch of Heavenly Light by Windaria
I couldn't decide which photo of these to upload, so I combined all three! Thanks, PicFrame!

This was the Princess Zelda costume I made for our Ocarina of Time skit at Katsucon 2012, which you can check out here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMqcCH… Since I was busy with the skit all day, I barely had any photos taken of the costume until I wore it again at PAX East! Sadly, none of the others from our Katsucon group were in attendance, so I was a lone Zelda drifting through Boston. :C

I'm crazy proud of this costume. Wearing it gives me so many feelings because Ocarina of Time is my favorite game ever (yes it's everybody's favorite game ever I DON'T CARE).  I've wanted to make this version of Zelda for so many years and I'm so happy that I was finally able to complete it the way I always imagined it would look.

Costume made and worn by myself.

Photography by LJinto.

Title stolen from FLORENCE FLORENCE FLORENCE <3

NOTE: Costumes and photos are not up for critique at this time. Keep DA cool and respect the request of all artists involved in this submission!

Ahh, so you were in that amazing skit! You guys are so awesome :D I saw the YouTube video of it and I was completely blown away, I really wish I saw that in person! I am absolutely in love with your costume too, I really like how you took a more realistic approach to it with the materials used and I LOVE your armor. I only wish these photos were larger so I could see them in more detail!

I was! One of my best friends organized the whole thing, it was seriously the epitome of all my OoT feelings and nerdy dreams and I still can't believe we pulled it off! And THANK YOU SO MUCH for noticing that about my costume! One of the things I really wanted to do was to make this design translate into a more realistic garment with antique accents, almost as if OoT was done in the same aesthetic as Twilight Princess. I'm so happy you like the costume, and the skit too! I'll definitely be posting a larger photo of this costume in the future. :3

Well tell your friend the planning to that skit was incredible! I'm sure it took a lot of patience to organize it all together XD And no problem, to be honest I was afraid I was just imagining that and that wasn't something you were purposely trying to do XD I really like how you used pink as more of an accent instead of making the entire thing blindingly pink like in the game--it really helps it look more appealing (and less tacky, if you ask me) and I think it goes along great with the Twilight Princess approach :D I always liked how TP Zelda used the purple of her dress as an accent on top of the white instead of the other way around, although I wish Nintendo would stop trying to over saturate Zelda with pink (she looked great in blue, they should really do that again!)

But yeah, sorry about that XD Once again, great job! :D
