WELP.  I finally moved out and am now in need of finding new homes for my metric buttload of costumes and cosplay supplies that I will never use or wear again. :(  That and I'm completely broke from buying new furniture and paying rent and car insurance and car loans and needing food to survive (etc.) so I'm hoping getting rid of some of this stuff will help me get my feet back on the ground!

Here's a link to my Tumblr, where I just put a pair of MASSIVE BLACK WINGS up for sale!  Please take a look and see if you're interested. :)  [link]

I'm also selling these costumes:

WHITE WANDERER from JOURNEY
Photos of which were featured on Kotaku, and on here as a Daily Deviation!
Here's a link to it in my gallery: [link]
And a link to the Kotaku article: [link]
And to my ACP: [link]

And as a bonus, I'm also selling my hand-dyed CELESTIA WIG from MLP: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC!
Here's a photo of it in my gallery: [link]

If you are interested in any of these items, please shoot me a private message, and we can talk prices and junk!  Apologies in advance if I do not get back to you until next week, as I am currently running out the door for a weekend of camping in the woods. ;___;

Thanks in advance, guys!  I hope you can give my stuff a great new home! <3
DEVIANTWATCHERZ!

Just a little entry to say THANKS to all of you for following, favoriting, commenting, and sending me all those llamas that I have no idea what to do with!  I really do appreciate each and every one of your kind gestures, and they mean the world to me, even if it takes me forever to respond to them all.  Y'all rock!

These days I'm a bit more active on my Facebook Page, where I post a lot of costume plans and goofy things, so please check it out if you're interested in keeping up with what I do!

I also slug around a lot on Tumblr, where I reblog pretty things and cry about movies and and tv shows and the stupid feelings they give me.  So uh, there's that too: [link]

On the horizon, I'll be at SAN DIEGO COMIC CON next!  It's my absolute favorite con of the year and I can't wait to run around with :iconsadwonderland: :iconfinalmemories: :iconsanguinet: and :icondrteng: and buy exclusives and eat burritos and stalk famous people.  WOOP WOOP.

Thanks again for everything, guys!

I come to you today to call attention to an awesome project that needs your help!

My very best snakefriend :iconsadwonderland:, creator of the popular Tokyopop manga series Bizenghast, has started putting the first feet forward on her followup project: an amazing new series known as The Elephant Book. Sadly, Tokyopop closed its doors two years ago and the project was never able to see the light of day.  However, she has been working insanely hard to get the ball rolling on this series, and now it all comes down to a matter of funding and fan support.

So was born a Kickstarter page!

[link]

Please take a look and check out the series!  For every amount you donate, you will receive a ton of goodies in return and get constant updates about the book's progression.  Even if you aren't able to donate at the time, please consider reblogging or posting the link to your Facebook or Twitter feed!  Every little bit helps, and you will be lending a hand to an amazing project by one of the most dedicated and talented folks I know. :D

And for the record (also since this is my journal and I'LL SAY WHAT I WANT), I've watched Marty work her butt off in the various planning stages of this series for the past few years, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that she's put her whole heart into this project.  It's cleverly written, gorgeously designed, and chock-full of surprises that you are nowhere near prepared for.  You are all in for a real treat. <3

What do you say we update this little journal here?  I think that's a good idea.

So!  Looks like it's 2012, which means I've been officially cosplaying and making crap out of garbage for 10 years.  I will try to be proud of this achievement and not curl into a fetal position under my lab bench.

Katsucon was the first convention of the new year, which flew by like light speed.  Made 5 new costumes for the con, only got to wear 3.  The other two will just have to hang in there until I can find some reason to wear them.  I also joined forces with 15 of my best friends and pulled off the craziest skit we've ever done, a tribute to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.  We won Best in Show and shed a whole lot of nostalgia tears.  It's here if you'd like to watch it: [link]

The next event I'm going to is PAX East up in Boston.  I'm mostly going to play a bunch of demos and see people and cheer on my BFF :iconblackkrogoth: in the Hunger Games.  I mean Omegathon.

The following weekend, I will be walking in the Cosplay Fashion Show at the DC Sakura Matsuri.  I will be wearing a sailor hat and carrying a very large flag.

The rest of the year looks like AnimeNext, SDCC (just got my badge!), a brief swing by Otakon, and my third attempt at Dragon*Con.  Then NYCC and AnimeUSA to round out the year.  So basically, same old stomping grounds.

Aside from cosplay/convention hoopla, things are going great on the Krys homefront.  I have an awesome job, two healthy cats who tolerate my excess of affection, a new car that I can haul my friends around in, and a man who loves me more than bacon.

I'm trying to keep this profile updated more often, but if you're interested in keeping up with my current and future costume plans, you can (ugh) OMG LIKE MY FACEBOOK PAGE.  Which is right here: [link]

Or you can see all the ridiculous things I've made over at my profile on ACP: [link]

I think that's all I have left to talk about.

You're welcome.

I don't make a lot of journal entries but I did want to ask y'all something.  What exactly are the point of prints?  I've been getting a lot of "Joe Schmo requested this deviation as a print" notifications and I'm kind of confused.  Do people uh, REALLY want printed photos of my smelly face in costumes?  Seriously?  What are you going to do, mount them on your wall?  Put them on the fridge?  Or are prints something else entirely that I'm not understanding?  (And do I have to ask $$ for them?  AUGH I AM SO CONFUSED.)

I just really want to know why my photos keep being requested as prints, because it just seems SO WEIRD to me!  I don't know whether to be flattered or freaked out that people I don't know are trying to put my schnoz in a frame in their living room.  I'm warning you, it ain't gonna fit.
  • Watching: 9/11 Yankees Special (I'm going through old VHS's)
SO HAY it's apparently been 3 years since I last posted a journal entry here.  Ahahahaha whoops.

Believe it or not, I still use DA, but mainly to snoop around through my friends' pages and leave comments that usually lack any kind of importance.  Frankly I just have nothing to upload anymore since I stopped drawing back in 2004 when I sold out and devoted my life to SCIENCE.  And there's also the fact that my scanner is a gigantic piece of dogshit, which doesn't help much.

ANYWAY, the only things I really have to offer these days are photos of my fucking costumes, and I know you're all soooooo thrilled about seeing my big dopey face in multicolored wigs and elf ears.  But maybe some of you are, since I just got a whole wave of new watchers after :iconsadwonderland: and :icondeviouselite: started posting photos of me on their accounts.

So here's the plan: if you guys are REALLY interested in seeing them, I'll start posting costumes up here again.  But if not, no big deal, I'll go back to being a lurker.  Not THE Lurker, mind you.  That asshole still owes me 5 bucks.

They found the girls last night... although one of 'em was passed out in a bathroom two streets down from the club.  They were both brought to the hospital around 3:30 in the morning.

And the lesson of the day, kids: Don't take drinks from idiots you've never met, and avoid all contact with the opposite sex whatsoever.  Go in peace.
Note to self: use elastic thread as often as humanly possible.  I should buy stock at Rags.

Finally registered for the big O (har har har) today, and got my Amphigory order... in-between more wonderful crap with you-know-who.  Yes, MORE.  ...but all that kinda took a backseat while I was sewing Honeybee and watching Potter Puppet Pals.

...and just in case you have no idea what I'm talking about:

Ahh, a cornucopia of love!
Attn: The Kitty and The Joeski -

Despite my lack of brain activity whatsoever last night, I actually came up with some stuff for the skit while I was at work.  It might not be half as funny as what you wrote already, but eh, it's something (the strategy guide idea from '02 might just come in handy).

I also thought you'd care to know that I shampooed and vaccumed the whole inside of my car this afternoon, because I know how well white dog hair leaves such a tasteful accent on black suits. X.x

...also, I'm currently boycotting the radio.  There is no need to play the same mediocre Hoobastank song EVERY FIVE FUCKING MINUTES.  Thank you.
Yesterday...
-I slept until 3
-Skipped breakfast and lunch
-Did two weeks worth of laundry (I'm lazy, I know)
-Ran out of gas on Rt. 9 picking Dan and Chris up from the mall
-...and actually had to pay for it this time (OUCH)
-Burned pizza in the oven
-Saw Harry Potter twice (once at 12AM, again at 11)

...aaaand still no progress on costumage.  Feel free to kick my ass now.
::spaaaaaazzzzzz::

Yeah, sure, it's set in Jersey (and it LOOKS like Jersey, thank god).  But being the artsy-fartsy person that I am, Frou Frou is reason enough for me to go see this.  The second is an internet exclusive trailer, which I saw first, and drew me into the actual context of the movie before I even REALIZED they're using one of my favorite songs to promote it.  Is it just me, or is there somewhat of a Donnie Darko vibe to this?

I would be seeing this opening night... if I wasn't going to be in a hotel somewhere in Baltimore.
To the Kitty~ I died and went to seamstress heaven.  Stitch And Sew is insanely addictive X.x

Ate at my first Pannera today... yet another addiction in the making.  And the Day After Tomorrow was surprisingly good, although the stupid part with the wolves made all of us laugh like idiots... which I don't think was what the writers intended.

Cara bought me Ghost World, which I'm watching right now.  There need to be more movies out there like this... instead of those that seem to be geared towards promoting Limited Too and Lindsay Lohan.
I drove to Rag Shop today to pick up some elastic thread... and came home with yards upon yards of shiny pretty fabric.  I was waiting until tomorrow to go shopping in Lakewood, but surprisingly enough Rag Shop had some good stuff... so now the psychotic embroidery and beading can commence!!  I'm still going down to Stich and Sew to check out their supply, but it feels good to have actual, tangible FABRIC to finally work with.  ...now, to carve out the sword.

Tomorrow I have a free day from work, so I'm going to Jamie's in the afternoon and then seeing EL ULTIMO DISASTERO movie... also known as "Twister: Die Hard With A Vengence".   I dunno it's got lotsa stuff blowing up and cities getting flooded so it's gotta be better than, say, Dawn of the Dead.   X_x

...and is it possible to block phone numbers on a cell, by any chance?  Because I'm two seconds away from calling up and changing mine.  It's time this crap ended... save the drama for the masquerade.

Thank you, and goodnight.
